The Super Eagles of Nigeria will commence preparations for their final group match of the 2023 AFCON qualifier on Wednesday in Uyo.
The three-time African champions will square up against Sao Tome and Principe in their final qualifying game in Group A of the 2023 African Cup of Nations on Sunday September 10th, 2023.
The head coach of the team, Jose Peseiro, has released the list of the invited players for the encounter which includes three new invitees expected to make their debut for their country; Gift Orban, Victor Boniface and Tournariga.
The team’s camp is expected to open on Wednesday September 6 in Uyo and all the invited players are expected to be available for the preparation.
Nigeria has already qualified for the tournament to be hosted in Cote D’Ivoire next year after amassing 12 points from 5 games while Sao Tome and Principe are bottom of the group with only a single point.
