Abia Warriors Commiserate With Benue FA Over Robbery Incident In Otukpo

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has sympathized with the Benue State Football Association and Lobi Stars Football Club over the robbery incident that claimed lives in Otukpo, Benue State.

On behalf of the Chairman of the club Coach John Obuh, the board, management and staff of Abia Warriors, the Sporting Director Mr Emeka Ifejiagwa conveyed the condolences of the Umuahia based clubside to the FA Chairman of Benue State Barrister Paul Ede, his Exco members and the Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club Mr Dominic Iofar who paid a visit to the Warriors at their hotel to express their gratitude for obliging their request for the postponement of today’s match between the two clubs.

Recall that yesterday robbers attacked a police command at Otukpo killing some officers on duty before robbing four banks; killing about 15 persons in the process

Mr Ifejiagwa noted that the ugly incident is unfortunate and prayed God to console the families that lost loved ones.

In his remarks earlier, the FA Chairman Barrister Paul Ede thanked Abia Warriors for their show of solidarity.

Barrister Ede also gifted the club Haggai branded soccer balls as a symbol of the Football Association’s gratitude.
