African Football League: Enyimba, Others Set For Bountiful Reward As CAF Increases Money

The Confederation of African Football CAF, has announced a huge increase of monetary reward for all the participating clubs in the inaugural edition of the African Football League.

CAF announced the increment on Monday afternoon after giving out the cash prize of $500,000 to USM Algiers for winning the Super Cup and $250,000 to Al Ahly for finishing second.

According to the the African football governing body, all the participating teams in the African Football League will get $900,000 as participation fee.

The semi-finalists will go home with $1.7 million, while the finalists will receive the sum of $2.8 million.

Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba International is among the selected pioneer clubs in the competition and the nine-time Nigerian league champions will face Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the quarter-final.
