AfroBasket Qualifiers: D’Tigers Suffer Another Defeat To Uganda

Nigeria’s men Basketball team, D’Tigers suffered another defeat at the AfroBasket 2025 qualifiers after losing to Uganda 72-62 in their second Group B game on Saturday.

Nigeria had opened their campaign with an 89-82 defeat to Libya in their opening game on Friday.

D’Tigers only paraded nine players in their loss to Uganda, just like in the game against Libya, as the East Africans came out tops in all four quarters.

Uganda finished the first quarter 12-7 before taking the second quarter 29-19.

In the third quarter, Uganda also emerged tops with 55 points to D’Tigers’ 44 before rounding off with the final score of 72-62 after the fourth quarter.

D’Tigers will close the first qualifying window on Sunday where they will face Cape Verde.
