Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma is targeting maximum points in their upcoming games after emerging victorious against Akwa United.
Sadiq Abubakar brace gave the Pride of Rivers a 2-1 victory over the Promise Keepers on Tuesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Eguma acknowledges the importance of getting points away from home at this time of the season as he demands his players to have the right mentality to achieve such.
“We expect to win almost every game because the league has gotten to a stage whereby every point counts and we don’t have to rely on home games.” Eguma said.
“In the past, we’ve lost some points at home and we expect to get those points on the road.
“The players must show the right mentality to help us show that, these matches (Doma United and Rangers) are matches we must get points.
“We are not going there to participate but with a mindset that the points are very important and see how we can grab some of the points”, he concluded.
Rivers United will next travel to face Doma United before they square up against Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu in a rescheduled Matchday 11 fixture.
