The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno, has bought all match tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match between Nigeria and South Africa.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced that a regular ticket for the game would be sold for N1,000 while a VIP ticket costs N3,000.
The state government decided to pay one thousand naira for each spectator willing to watch the game in order to see the stadium filled to capacity
The Super Eagles will take on South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in matchday three of the World Cup qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, by 8pm Nigerian time.
The governor, while wishing the Super Eagles a resounding victory, urged fans to come out in their numbers to cheer the three-time African champions to victory.
