The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has set up a Committee for NPFL Team of the Week/Team of the Month.
According to a letter signed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, the Committee is headed by Board Member and former International, Daniel Amokachi with respected Journalists, Mitchel Obi, Segun Agbede and Deji Omotoyinbo as members.
Other members of the Committee include NFF Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen, former national coaches Manu Garba and Godwin Uwua as well the Chairman of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria Task Force Harrison Jalla and Davidson Adejuwon, a former Director of defunct NPFL side, MFM.
The Team of the Month will be made up of 11 players and a coach with room for reserves that will complete a squad of 18.
NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye said with the Team of the Week in place, players would offer their best possible to make the squad for individual and collective benefits.
The Committee members have been invited to the 2023/24 NPFL season draw holding in Lagos, on Thursday, August 17.
