The Nigerian football community is in mourning following the death of Bayelsa Queens head coach Domo Okara.
Okara, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, June 8, at the age of 47 having led the team to numerous successes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Thank you, Coach. You’ll be deeply missed”

Until his death, the late tactician guided the Prosperity Girls to a third-place finish in the 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership Super Six held in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
In addition, he won two President Federation Cup titles, one WAFU-B Women’s Champions League, and a third place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL) in Morocco .
