CAF CC: Rivers United Motivated, Denied Training Ahead Club Africain Clash

Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma believes the winning mentality of his players will play a huge role in their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Club Africain of Tunisia on Wednesday.

“The spirit in camp now is high. The team is on a winning mood. I think that spirit of winning is also high. It will play a huge role in the game with Club Africain in Tunis.”

Rivers United midfielder Deputy Echeta said the team’s ambition is to go far in the competition. He noted that they will put in their best efforts to get a decent result in the tie.

“It’s not an easy task going to Tunisia but we have to go, give all our best and hopefully we are going to come out with something. The target of the team is to go far in the CAF Confederation Cup, if we can get to the finals, we will be happy.”

Meanwhile, Rivers United has been prevented from training at the Stade de Rades pitch, according to reports coming from the camp of the former Nigeria league champions in Tunis.
