Nigerian champions Rangers International are through to the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League following a 1-1 draw against Comoros’ US Zilimadjou on Friday.
The Flying Antelopes won the first preliminary round contest 2-1 on aggregate with both legs decided at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Kenechukwu Agu converted from the spot to give Rangers the lead in the 79th minute after Ekeson Okorie was hacked down inside the opponent’s box.
The visitors equalized six minutes from time.
Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Remo Stars will play away against AS FAR of Morocco on Sunday.
The Sky Blue Stars hold a 2-1 advantage from the first leg.
