Chimoski, Sticmaclloyd Advance In OPM Scouting Tournament

Chimoski FC of Warri over the weekend defeated High Sparrow 2-0 to advance to the next round of the OPM Free Scouting Tournament in Port Harcourt.

The youthful side thrilled observers with beautiful eye-catching football in a dominant performance to claim the win and continue their quest for the title and N1m prize money.

Speaking after the match, General Manager of Chimoski FC Onigbe Felix said hardwork was key to the win and also explained why they came to the tournament with only two substitutes.

In another game, Sticmaclloyd won 5-4 via penalties against Sporting after regulation time ended goalless.

Coach of Stinaclloyd Nnamdi Onuchi decried his side’s missed chances but expressed satisfaction with the win.

Earlier, Fidwax brought down High Flyers 4-3 on penalties after it finished 1-1 during regulation time.

Action continues today in the knockout competition, aimed at discovering talents that will be signed by European clubs, with only 20 teams now left.
