Coach Fatai Osho Resigns From Rivers United Again

Coach Fatai Osho has announced his resignation from former Nigeria league champions, Rivers United on Tuesday June 13.

The former Enyimba FC manager had previously left the position two months ago but was persuaded to reverse the decision by the club’s management.

Osho made known his decision on Tuesday morning via his Twitter handle where he thanked the club for their support during his stint with them.

“THANK YOU RIVERS UNITED FC

I want to thank the entire Rivers United FC management, staff and coaching crew for my stay in this great club. It has been a worthwhile experience and memorable one at that.
As I resign my position as the Chief Coach of this great club, I remain a big fan of the club and it will remain so.
My greatest thanks goes to the immediate past Governor of the state, former Governor Nyesom Wike for the handsome reward to the team for winning the 2021/2022 NPFL. So much thanks sir.

RIVERS UNITED!!!!…. victory forever
….victory forever!!!! RIVERS UNITED

SO MANY THANKS ONCE AGAIN”

He wrote on his Twitter handle.

Osho joined Rivers United two years ago (2021-22 season) after his contract with Enyimba was not renewed.

He won the league as Stanley Eguma’s assistant last season and helped the Pride of Rivers reach the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals this season.

He was also previously in charge of Remo Stars.
