Rangers FC supporters on Wednesday were disappointed with the Enugu State Government’s arrangement for their trip to Asaba to support the club in the Federation Cup Final against Bendel Insurance.
The confusion started when the supporters found out that there were no proper arrangements for their transportation to the match venue.
Many football lovers got to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium for the takeoff to the match venue but were disappointed that only one bus was available.
The problem escalated when they were informed that only one bus would convey both the fans and the supporters. They complained that the bus could not accommodate them to the match venue.
A source close to the Ministry of Youths and Sports and Rangers International FC noted that a huge amount of money was released for the trip but was not utilised appropriately.
This prompted the fans to decide not to take a risk with the rickety bus while demanding for better buses and to know more about their welfare during the match.
According to reports, the supporters club and other fans were still in Enugu as at 10:45 am as they had refused to board the bus.
