Fatai Osho quits role as Akwa United head coach

Fatai Osho has reportedly quit his role as head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League club Akwa United on Monday.

Osho joined Akwa United at the start of the current campaign but the Promise Keepers have struggled under his tutelage this season.

He becomes the fourth coach to lose his job this season. Christian Obi (Heartland FC), Tony Bolus (Katsina United), Hamza Abara(Niger Tornadoes) were the previous three.

The former NPFL champions are seated 17th in the relegation zone with 14 points from 14 games this season, having recorded only three wins all season.

Akwa United lost 1-0 to Heartland away from home in matchday 14 of the NPFL.

Edwin Okon is expected to take charge of the Uyo based team in an interim basis.
