FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles Drops Out Of Africa’s Top 5, Morocco Remains No. 1 In Africa

The world football governing body FIFA on Thursday morning, released the latest men’s rankings for September 2023 with the Super Eagles of Nigeria dropping out of African Top 5 countries.

Jose Peseiro’s side thrashed Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 in their final group A game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier while topping the group with 15 points, but the recent result had little effect on their latest ranking.

According to the rankings, Nigeria is placed 40th in the World and 6th in Africa.

Morocco moved two places up to 13th position, and remains the highest African country in the rankings while reigning African champions Senegal dropped two places from 18th position but still remains amongst the 20 best countries in the world, occupying the 20th position.
