Iheanacho departs Leicester City

Leicester City has announced the departure of Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho is leaving Leicester after seven years, having joined the club from Manchester City in 2017.

The 27-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of this month.

Iheanacho scored 61 goals for the Foxes, including the winner against his former club, Manchester City, in the FA Community Shield final at Wembley in August 2021.

The Foxes also announced they are in talks with his compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi, over a new contract.
