“Kano Pillars Will Participate in 2023/24 NPFL Season” – Acting Chairman, Inuwa

Kano Pillars Football Club Acting Chairman Alhaji Babangida Inuwa, alias Little, has assured soccer loving people of Kano that Pillars will participate in the 2023/24 Premier League.

Little gave the assurance while answering questions in the Abubakar Rimi Television ARTV program tagged “Labarin wasanni.”

The acting Chairman who during his playing days laced his boots for defunct Gabari Rocks famous Raccah Rovers and the country’s national team at junior level, vowed to do the utmost in returning the team to the elite class as according to him it’s where the ‘Sai Masu Gida’ belongs.

He said with the logistics and financial support accorded them by the present administration coupled with the prayers of its teeming fans, he is confident that the team will be among the four teams that will be elevated to the top flight in the upcoming season.

According to little, all arrangements have been concluded by the management and technical crew aimed at attaining set mandate during the playoff which will determine those that will secure the ticket, otherwise called Super Eight which will commence on the 2nd of next month.

The teams that will feature in the event slated to be held at Stephen Kesh Stadium Asaba have been divided into two groups, with the Kano club fondly called Masu Gida by its faithful competing with EFCC FC Abuja, Katsina United, DMD FC Maiduguri, FC ONE Rock, Abeokuta Stormers FC, Heartland and Sporting FC.

Pillars will leave for the match venue on Friday 30 June 2023. The team being one of leading clubsides in the country with huge home support, had been relegated for the first time since the commencement of premier league in 1990.
