Mauricio Pochettino  signs to become Chelsea’s manager next season.

The 51-year-old Argentine had verbally agreed to take over from Frank Lampard and now he has put pen to paper to make the deal official.

He is believed to have signed a three-year deal after flying to England from Spain to complete the signing of the contract.

The former Tottenham manager has been out of contract following his sack by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.

Pochettino agreed to take over at Stamford Bridge in April, but will join in the summer after Frank Lampard sees out this season’s dismal campaign.

Chelsea are set to make a formal announcement on Pochettino’s arrival in the next 48 hours with Frank Lampard’s caretaker reign ending after the Newcastle game.
