The forty (40) clubs billed to participate in the 2023/2024 season of the Nigeria National League are expected to conduct three (3) compulsory pre competition medical tests for their players and officials ahead of the Saturday 28 October Kick off date.
The clubs are to run:
- Pre competition Medical Assessment (PCMA) test to ensure their players and officials are safe to participate in any form of physical activity.
- An electrocardiogram (ECG) test diagnosing the heart’s conditions and electrical activity .
3.A Covid-19 test for covid related cases.
These medical tests are prerequisites to obtain clean medical clearance for the players and officials to feature in the league.
The Chief Operating Officer of the league Emmanuel Adesanya said the clubs are to submit an official report which must be endorsed by qualified medical Doctors or from notable medical centers.
