NPFL Bans Clubs From Streaming Matches Live

Nigeria Professional Football League teams will not be allowed to stream their matches live when the new season begins on August 26th.

The Executive Director of NPFL partner, GTI Asset Management & Trust Limited who is also the Project Director of TNFF, Nelson Ine, disclosed this to newsmen after the review of the prize money for the winner of the 2023-24 season.

He added that only accredited broadcast sponsors of the NPFL would be allowed to stream the league matches live.

Meanwhile, GTI/TNFF Head of Media/Publicity, Andrew Ekejiuba, while confirming the new development, wrote on the GTI/TNFF WhatsApp Media Forum the readiness of GTI to stream games live through a mobile app that will be available for download on Google playstore before the commencement of the new NPFL season.

“This is true because GTI expects Nigerians to watch the matches via ur mobile devices. An app NPFL LIVE is expected to be downloaded from playstore and fans can subscribe. Thanks to Propel Sports Africa.”

The winner of the 2023-24 NPFL season will go home with N150 million prize money.

The upcoming season is sheduled to kick-off on August 26.
