NPFL Stadium Ban: Katsina Utd Tells Fans To Stay Away During Rivers Utd Week 8 Visit

Following a ban imposed by the management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the interim management of Katsina United FC has appealed to the Club’s teeming supporters to avoid Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina ahead of the Club’s match against Rivers United FC.

This is stated in a press statement issued by the Club Media Officer, Nasir Gide and signed by the interim management committee Chairman Alhaji Kabir Dan’lami.

The interim management committee chairman, Kabir Dan’lami, urged sports loving fans in the state to demonstrate maturity and sportsmanship by continuing to be law-abiding citizens for the development of football in the state.

Kabir Dan’lami, who voiced displeasure with the NPFL league management’s jurisdiction over the club, guaranteed that the club will take all necessary steps to comply with the league management framework, including establishing sufficient security measures during club home matches.

He also pleaded with security professionals who are arriving at the stadium without uniforms to desist from doing so as no one will be allowed in except those on duty.

The NPFL had fined Katsina United FC the sum of One Million Naira (₦1m) along with playing behind closed doors, for it’s failure to provide adequate security in their Match day five home fixture against Sunshine Stars on Sunday October 29th at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina state.
