South South winners Rivers United have defeated Remo stars in the maiden edition of the NPFL UNDER 17 League on-going at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin city, Edo state.
The coach Ken Chukwu side gave a good account of themselves, winning the game by three goals to one, leaving United left winger David Benjamin as man of the match.
Coach Chukwu, who is known as a grassroot developer, told newsmen after the game that his boys are focused and determined for victory, noting that they will approach each game accordingly.
The Port Harcourt side will meet plateau United in their next match
