NRA Mourn Ref Struck By Thunder While Officiating

The Nigeria Referees Association have announced the passing on of Mustapha Mohammed Bello, an NNL Referee from Niger State (Football) Referees’ Council, who was struck dead by thunderstorm on Wednesday afternoon June 14 while officiating a football match in Suleja.

The announcement was made known by the Niger State Football Referees’ Council, and duely signed by it’s chairman, Umar Mohammed and his secretary Mohammed She.

“NRA family regrets to announce the death of Mustapha Mohammed Bello, an NNL Referee from Niger State (Football) Referees’ Council.

Mustapha died this afternoon while officiating a football match at Suleja through Thunderstorm.

May the Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest.

He will be buried today in accordance with Islamic Rights”. The announcement read.
