Technical adviser of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro will now take home a mouth watering amount of $60,000 on a monthly basis after extending his contract with the National Team.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation after making known his cobtract extention, stated that the Portuguese accepted a reduction from his previous $70,000 salary to retain his job.
The contract will expire at the end of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cote d’Ivoire next January.
Meanwhile the NFF has promised to pay the 63 year old’s outstanding salaries in batches.
Peseiro as part of the new agreement will cut down his foreign assistants.
He was given a mandate of taking the Super Eagles to a minimum of reaching the semi-final of the 2023 AFCON. The Portuguese, with the new arrangement, has been put in charge of the Super Eagles B – the home-based professionals who contest the biennial African Nations Championship.
The Super Eagles will be in action against Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
