Players in Tanzania earn up to ₦15m, all matches are shown live. I’m available for Nigeria – John Noble

Nigerian goalkeeper John Noble Bariyima has expressed his readiness to perform impressively for the Super Eagles if called upon. Despite the current goal keeping crisis facing the national team, head coach Jose Peseiro has been reluctant to open the door for other goalkeepers to fight for the number one spot.

“Everyone wants to play for the Super Eagles. It’s where I’ve been before. Though, I’ve not been given the opportunity to represent the country. I’m working hard, hoping and patiently waiting for that day, and I believe it will come. I’m believing God for it to happen so I can show what I can do for Nigeria.” The Tabora United of Tanzania shot stopper told zigasports.com.

John Noble, who last played for Enyimba FC before joining his present Tanzanian club, believes the People’s Elephant will bounce back from their recent poor showings on the continent.

“I understand that Enyimba was knocked out of the CAF Champions League and African Super League but I believe in Enyimba and with the players they have, they can defend the title this season. It’s something that happens to a team sometimes that I can’t really explain but I strongly believe that they’ll bounce back and start doing well again.”

The former Enyimba International goalkeeper acknowledged the competitiveness of the Nigeria Premier Football League but expects the league to improve on live broadcasting of matches and player’s welfare as it is done in the Tanzanian league.

“The difference is not much. Both leagues are competitive. The only little difference is broadcasting. All our games here are shown live on TV. The players salary is better than what we have in Nigeria. I believe if Nigerian clubs will be able to pay like a million or 1.5 million Naira to a player, it will be better. Here, you have teams that pay up to 7, 8, 10 to 15 million Naira to players.

These are just the little differences but Nigerian league is good. If investors can come into our league in the near future, it will become something we can be proud of. I’m proud of my country, I’m proud of the NPFL. Atleast, all the matches should be shown live.” Noble concluded.
