Reinstated Obi Resumes Duty as Heartland Coach

Christian Obi has resumed duty as head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side Heartland FC.

Obi addressed players of the Naze Millionaires on Sunday, according to reports from the Owerri-based club.

The executive governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma last Thursday ordered the reinstatement of the veteran tactician leading to the departure of coach Kennedy Boboye.

Zigasports.com also gathered that both coaches couldn’t agree to work together during their meeting with the Imo state Commissioner of Sports, Emeka Okoronkwo, in his office.

Boboye had led Heartland to three wins, an away draw and three losses while the club failed to register a single win in nine matches under Obi before he was sacked.

The five time NPFL champions will travel to square up against Niger Tornadoes in their next league game.
