Remo Stars CEO Soname Rewards Players And Officials With N28m

The CEO of Remo Stars Football Club, Kunle Soname has rewarded players, officials and supporters of the team with a cash of N28 million for finishing second in the league and securing one of the CAF Champions League slots for Nigeria at the Nigeria Premier League Super Six in Lagos.

Soname, a former member of the Interim Management Committee of the NPL and owner of CD Feirense in the Portuguese second tier league rewarded the players with N20 million, the technical and medical crews N5 million, the media team N1.5 million as well as N1.5 million to the club supporters.

Similarly, the General Manager and a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Ekene Adams also made a donation of N5 million to the team while commending the players for their exceptional performance during the Super 6 playoff.

It would be recalled that Remo Stars finished second behind the eventual champion, Enyimba International of Aba to pick the second CAF Champions League ticket for Nigeria.
