Rivers United Concludes Preparations Ahead USM Alger Clash

Rivers United have rounded off their final training session ahead of their CAF Confederation’s Cup Quarter-final second leg encounter against defending champions USM Alger in Algeria.

All the available players participated in rondos and physio conditioning training with Rivers United Technical Manager, Stanley Eguna, supervising proceedings.

The match kicks off on Sunday (today) at the 5 July 1962 stadium in Algiers.

The Pride of Rivers hold a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg.

Meanwhile, the head coach of the USM Alger, Juan Carlos Garrido is confident his side will beat Rivers United in the return fixture.

Garrido during a press conference on Saturday said they are well prepared to defend their title.

”We are ready to beat them on Sunday and continue to defend our title.

Together, we will achieve glory”, he said.

USM must score at least two unreplied goals to advance to the semi-final of the competition.
