Saudi’s Al Hilal Returns With €140m Bid For Osimhen With N996m A Week Salary

Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Hilal has returned with a second bid of €140 million (£120.3m) for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, after their first bid was rejected by the Serie A champions.

Napoli turned down Al Hilal’s offer of €130 million for Osimhen a couple of days ago as it fell way below their valuation of the Nigerian striker, which stands above €150 million.

The Saudi Arabia club has also offered to pay Osimhen a whooping weekly wages of one million pounds which amounts to an impressive £52 million annually.

It would make Osimhen the African player with the highest salary in history. Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, at €370,000 per week, is currently the highest-paid African footballer in the world.

The Partenopei has offered the 24-year-old striker a two-year contract extension with an annual salary of €7 million if he decides to remain in Naples for the upcoming season. However, finalising the agreement remains a work in progress.

The Nigerian international scored 26 goals in Serie A last season as Napoli won the title for the first time in 33 years

Ruben Neves from Wolves, Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio have all signed for Al Hilal this summer.
