Newly-appointed Super Eagles head coach Bruno Labbadia is set to name his foreign assistants.
Labbadia, whose appointment was announced on Tuesday, is expected to bring in two foreign assistants, while the others will be local coaches appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The German tactician, according to reports, will select his foreign assistants from the trio of Erdinç Sözer, Olaf Janßen and Bernhard Trares.
Erdinç Sözer is considered the 58-year-old’s most trusted assistant since 2005, having worked with him at every club he has managed.
Sözer is currently without a club after leaving Turkish side Samsunspor on June 30, 2024, and is likely to be Labbadia’s first choice.
Janßen is currently the manager of Viktoria Köln. He has been working with Labbadia since 2018, including at VfL Wolfsburg and Hertha BSC.
Trares, a former center-back, is currently without a club.
He worked with Labbadia since 2015 at Hamburg SV and continued their partnership at VfB Stuttgart.
